This is an independent private website. It is not the official government platform and is not connected to it. Employers and recruitment agencies file their procedures at workinromania.gov.ro, run by the Romanian Ministry of Internal Affairs. This page explains the law in plain words — and helps you with the part the official platform does not cover: finding work and a place to stay.
Romania changed its rules for hiring foreign workers this year. Most of the new law is about paperwork your employer must do. But three parts of it are yours, and they protect you. Know them before you sign anything.
Under the new rules (OUG 32/2026, in force since April 2026), these are not favours from a good employer. They are obligations.
One more thing worth knowing: your job must appear on Romania's official list of shortage occupations, and the yearly quota for 2026 is 90,000 foreign workers. If a recruiter promises you a job outside that list, the paperwork will not go through — no matter what they charge you.
On CautZilier you publish what you can do, your hourly rate and the area you can work in. Romanian companies search these listings every day and contact you directly. Your phone number stays hidden from the public — only registered employers see it.
Post your profile →We do not recruit, we do not place workers, and we never take a commission from a worker. We run a listings board and a place to sleep. Anyone who tells you they can sell you a Romanian work permit is lying — permits are issued by the state, not bought.
If your employer does not provide housing — or the housing you were promised turns out not to exist — there are beds near Pitești, in Ștefănești, Argeș county.
ProX Hostel — built for construction and industrial teams, not a guesthouse adapted for it.
