Before you accept any job

  • Nobody should ask you to pay to get a job. If they do, that is a warning sign.
  • Never hand over your passport to an employer or agent. It is yours by law.
  • Ask for a written contract in a language you understand, before you start work.
  • Check that the pay per hour and the working hours are written in the contract.
  • If something feels wrong, contact your embassy or ANITP, the Romanian anti-trafficking agency.
